I am thinking back to the time.
When there are so many things that âI have to do/I had to fulfilâ just because of the role I opt for âa prestigious stand in society.
When I needed to attend a certain event just because I had to stay connected with a certain group of people, my heart/body that day wasnât ready at all.
When my schedule wasnât totally defined by me, but mostly because others were also free at this time.
When I felt a lack of energy, I had to still wake up because I had a meeting that it wouldnât be feasible to postpone.
When I had to schedule lots of things into one day so, I could rest properly on weekends.
When I had to still work on holiday because something disruptive happened and sadly it canât be avoided even though no one would like this to happen.
Or even when I had to pay a credit card bill, a mundane boring task that I needed to fulfil every month.
All these things evoke our logical minds to come into place.
All these things that stimulate our mental body.
And we mostly need to use our mental frame to look at them.
All of these thingsâŚ
All of these things were so normal back then when I was living my life in the middle of it.
And it seems like the majority of my time was spent trying to fulfil something, some responsibilities.
Being diligent Virgo, I tried to fulfill as promptly as possible. Hoping that I will create more free time for myself someday. But little do I know that itâs endless. Itâll never go away if I donât rethink the root of it.
And it wouldnât be possible for me to allow my soul to be fully take up her space, and her time if these kinds of things still going on in my life since they mostly would heavily rely on a logical mind frame.
Iâm not saying that we should be out of any responsibility at all in our lives. Thatâs not possible when we are still living human experiences. I believe itâs a challenge for us to navigate to find our balance to the best ability.
Just thatâŚâŚ in which way that we want to be using our mental body/logical mind?
For me, I would like to release any task that wasnât necessary to free up even more space for my soul to take more space to dream. Some say you should ask yourself if this thing is a hell YES for you.
At one point, I was forced by my soul to fully purge and get rid majority of tasks, or even things to be out of my life.
The fact that I take a career break is that space needed for my soul to start to slowly and fully thrive like never before when all of my days were unavoidably needed to be for someone else or something else.
I am not bound by anything or anyone that much.
Thereâs not much I need to use my mental body to tackle tasks, work, and my routine. (but mostly itâs just my old habit that tends to reach back to the pure mind/urge to always control tools that itâs hard to get over)
So, how do you create more space in your life for your soul to thrive more in your life?
It could be as easy as clearing out things that are no longer in alignment with you. For example: clearing files. Or for me, I found that I had to be less exposed to an overwhelming outlet of social media. Any unnecessary info that doesnât benefit me.
Or it could be just rethinking about the task and responsibilities. For me, itâs my investment port, I changed up my portfolio to align with myself more. I donât like spending too much time with it so, I better choose to invest in a more low-risk one, less volatile one.
I choose to exercise mostly at home so, I take less time to think about which class to attend. What time? How to get there. Plan my journey, my schedule. etc which could use up mental space without us thinking weâre using it. Force our mental cap to come into play more. There is less room for the soul to wiggle around with no purpose, no agenda, and expected results framed by the mind.
Itâs not that the mental/mind is bad or anything, but I believe that we live in a society that constantly encourages us to feed our mental body. This is quite out of balance compared to how we stay in touch with other parts of ourselves, i.e., physical body, soul, and emotions.
Prompt for today:
How can you create more space in your life for your soul to thrive more in your life?
